Sunday redux...
Dec. 2nd, 2007 07:44 pmSo today we had some official errands to run. We had to go find holiday cards, and I wanted to show Cruz some BBQ stuff they had at Crate & Barrel outlet. We also dropped off his new glasses to be sent back to be adjusted because the lenses keep trying to pop out.
The gourmet Ghetto in Berkeley is dangerous. Sadly there was NO way to avoid it because it is where our eye doctor is.
So...
We went to Papyrus and got holiday cards.
We went to Crate & Barrel Outlet and got a wok insert for our our Weber Grill, it's cool cause you take out the grill insert and it turns the entire thing into a freestanding flame heated wok.

We went to Sur la Table, and well, that's where I tend to get into trouble. Especially with their clearance shelves after halloween... *grin* I MUST remember to go there BEFORE Halloween when they have real selection. A partial list is as follows, and most of this was on the clearance shelves.
A silicone pumpkin pot holder

A tin of Orange hot chocolate mix, and the tin is a CAULDRON!!!!! http://www.thisnext.com/item/C9AA2CB8/B869E54D/Witches-Cauldron-filled-with

A bag of sweet tart skeleton pieces that fit together. It takes 12 pieces to make the skeleton and it can even stand!!! I took pics of the one I put together - sadly out of the entire bag I only could complete two skeletons. And then one critical part broke - as there were only two pelvises in the bag and one of those broke.
Here are shots of the neat sugar skeletons cause I don't have a link. I find it interesting that the spine piece looks a lot like a penis. HEY they have the same letters! Just in a different order.... HHmmm..... *snicker* Yeah, I ate too much sugar today...
Anyways, Assembled on the table.

Standing on the table!

And his 12 pieces.

We also went to Afikomen to get candles for Hannukah (or however you want to spell it) and we got 1 box each of milk chocolate and bittersweet chocolate gelt. Now we just have to actually play with the damn dreidel.
We also stopped by house K and dropped off anniversary prezzies for
wynkat1313 &
rimblemethis
My plot to get them more of their china continues!!
All in all it was a good day. There was con crap I was supposed to work on that I didn't. And I don't care.
